Xiaomi MiMo 100T: How to Apply for Free AI Tokens

Xiaomi's MiMo 100T program offers developers free API tokens for a range of AI models, but it is not a giveaway you can walk into and grab. You need to apply, describe your use case, and wait for review.

What it is

MiMo 100T is a program from Xiaomi that provides developers with free token credits for various AI models available on the Xiaomi MiMo platform. These tokens can be used to test APIs, prototype AI applications, build coding agents, or run experiments without paying out of pocket. The program is designed for developers who are actively building AI-powered products and need compute credits to move forward.

The key thing to understand is that this is an application-based program. You fill out a form, describe what you are building, and Xiaomi reviews your request before granting access. Not everyone who applies will be approved, and the quota is limited.

Why it matters

• Free compute for builders. For indie developers, students, and small teams, API costs are often the biggest barrier to prototyping AI features. Free tokens remove that barrier, at least temporarily.
• Access to multiple models. The MiMo platform hosts several AI models, so the tokens are not restricted to a single endpoint.
• Early access advantage. Programs like this often have limited quotas. Applying early increases your chances of being reviewed before the allocation runs out.
• Real project requirements. Unlike some free tiers that require no justification, MiMo 100T asks you to describe your actual use case, which means approved developers get meaningful credits rather than token amounts designed only for testing.

How it works

The application process is straightforward but requires some preparation. First, you visit the program page at 100t.xiaomimimo.com and fill out the application form. Use the email address you intend to log in with on the platform later, because your credits will be tied to that account.

In the form, describe the AI project, app, or agent you are building. Be specific about whether you need tokens to test an API, build a prototype, or deploy a real product. Clear, concrete use cases are more likely to pass review than vague requests. After submitting, you wait for Xiaomi to review your application and respond by email. If approved, you log in to platform.xiaomimimo.com with the same email you used to apply, and the token credits should appear in your account.

Caveats

This is not a guaranteed grant. Xiaomi reviews applications and can reject or partially approve them. Some community members have reported receiving substantial bonus credits after approval, but this is not an official commitment and should not be treated as a baseline expectation. The program quota is limited, so applying late may mean missing out. Additionally, the credits are tied to the MiMo platform: if your project depends on a specific model or API format, verify compatibility before assuming the tokens will work for your use case. Finally, free token programs can change terms or end without much notice, so do not build a long-term cost model around them.
